ACCESS AND FUNDING

TELEHEALTH Support

I offer occupational therapy sessions via Telehealth, supporting individuals across Australia. Whilst Telehealth has its own barriers to navigate, it can also offer comfort, flexibility, and increased access. Sessions can be shaped in ways that feel grounding and relational, whether that involves a shared cup of tea, creating art together, or finding other ways to connect that suit you.

FUNDING OPTIONS

NDIS
I am able to see individuals accessing occupational therapy through the NDIS. Services can be funded under the Improved Daily Living budget in the Capacity Building category. I work with both self-managed and plan-managed participants.

Private and Insurance
I am able to see individuals who wish to access occupational therapy services privately. No referral is required. If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate. Please check with your insurer to see what your policy includes.

Medicare
If you're eligible, your GP may offer a General Practitioner Chronic Disease Management Plan (GPCDMP). This allows you to claim a partial Medicare rebate for up to five sessions per calendar year with your chosen allied health professional. The plan needs to be in place before your first appointment.

There’s also a separate Medicare pathway for people under 25 with an eligible disability or complex neurodevelopment needs. With a referral and treatment plan from a paediatrician or psychiatrist, this option provides rebates for up to 20 allied health treatment sessions in total across a lifetime. It can be a helpful option if you're not eligible for the NDIS or are waiting for access.

NeuroNest egg intention

The NeuroNest Egg is a quiet intention held within NeuroNest. It is a way of slowly and sustainably making room to support those who may otherwise face barriers to occupational therapy. I recognise the deep financial and systemic barriers that can limit access to care. As a solo disabled provider, my capacity to address this is limited at current, but I am gently working to build space over time to contribute in ways that feel considered and grounded in care and equity. Please contact me if financial access ever becomes a concern.
